Science Abuse
Anyone here do this? It doesn't look like something that I'd want to do myself. Any idea what it will cost? I haven't priced the glass yet, I'm totaly green on this one. 1991 Mercury cougar (Will take glass from 89-97 Thunderbirds/cougars, and 93-98 Lincols Mark 8s). Buck531
A few years ago I had the Regal glass replaced by safelite. They came out and did it for $200.

87GT
Depending on your insurance coverage it might be covered minus a deductible. I had mine fixed recently and it only cost $100 for safelite to do it. They did a great job except they took my radio antenna. They returned it the next day though. Science Abuse
Not broken, it's "schmutzed". Also, no full coverage. I welded too close to it, so you guys remember my mistake.

Mensan
A few years ago I had the Regal glass replaced by safelite. They came out and did it for $200. After learning that Safelite uses rejected glass from the manufacturers or chinese made windshields, I no longer use them. I have a Pilkington windshield in the Mustang. Farkas
DO NOT use Safelite... Nothing but crooks that fucked up a bunch of cars at one point in time at Saturn, and recently my brothers SC300.. I strongly recommend Gaurdian Auto Glass. Science Abuse
try taking fine steel wool to it. It might clean up. No dice. Its actualy fine beads of melted glass. Anything that removes them will scratch the glass up and make it worse, requiring polishing.
