Thomas Aquinas
Does anyone know a shop over in the Hilliard area that can press out balljoints? These are on the front lower control arms for my 86 camaro. I tried renting a balljoint press from the Autozone in Hilliard but they didn't have one, and the one from Advance didn't work. Thanks. XChris1632X
Any decent shop should be able to get them out. I usually just use a little heat and a hammer.

Guest Removed
problem with taking them out of the car is then you have to deal with the front springs! standard ball joint press will do it on the car, but you need and impact to work it! 351mach11647545510
it's reall not that bad. autozone in new rome has one. you just gotta seperate the tie rod and spindle so you can swing the spindle out of the way then just use the press. did it on my 91 with no issues. just gotta make sure you press the new one back in evenly. Thomas Aquinas
Thanks guys, I actually called up Lasota, he lent me a ball joint press. It worked perfectly. Now I'm just removing/cutting/mutilating the old bushings out. The front springs were definitely not fun to work with. thanks again.
