Got-Boost?
I just picked up a mag with more info on this. R&T reports a Eaton TVR2300 4-lobe running 10.5lbs of boost run by an 11-rib V-belt. The engine uses the same bore/stroke as the LS3 (103.25/92.0) running 9.9:1 compression with a 4-layer head gasket. The cam has reduced lift from the Z06's 15.0mm to 14.1. As far as blower efficiency it says 2.3:1 pulley ratio at 6,600rpm spins at 15,300rpm. The '09 Z06 will get the oil sump upgrades that the ZR1 has. First gear is taller (2.29-vs-2.66) and 6th shorter (0.67-vs-0.50). It also receives a twin plate 260mm clutch vs the single plate 290mm Z06. They also said GM will make 2,000 a year for around $100k (later saying $90k-120k est.) I don't know how correct it all is or if they will make changes before production but this is what the mag is reporting...
