SpaceGhost
It was repainted a darker blue, Well on the news there was an Evo that was this color driving erratically on Taylor Station Road and lost control and hit a semi and then went airborne and rolled. The car was shown on the news and it is totaled. The driver is in Mt. Carmel east in Critical condition, and his passenger (female)is in stable condition at Grant. This really makes no sense as Mt. Carmel East has no Level 1 trauma and grant does, Maybe the news reported it backwards. I guess my question is Did they sell the Evo, if so maybe someone knows who this is on here since many Evo owner's read here. Hope everyone comes out OK. evan9381
it was my best friend from highschool. it was an 05 he just bought at the end of november if it helps. they said he died on the scene and my other buddy said hes talked to his g/f a couple times and shes coherent i didnt know he had the car, hadnt talked to him lately, but it was a death trap for him, and really, it doesnt suprise me. hes went thru too many cars to even think about owning an evo. looking at the scene where he took out mcgraw-hills sign, and seeing the car at the impound lot, he had to have been doing 80+ like an idiot. fuck, he hit the curb, took out a 18" section of it, launched over some 4ft bushes, the drivetrain and a wheel is wedged under an infinity i35 in the lot and the top of the car is totalled. im gonna try to get some pics tomorrow or have the girl that was with us tonight email them to me really is a tradgedy, especially right afer xmas

evan9381
from what his mom said, they believe he died on the scene, but did not pronounce him there. they pronounced him at grant. he did pass away. the girlfriend is ok RIP chris haag http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/evan938/l_3fed3e84af01b66ec9bfe26e12f3e843.jpg?t=1198933648
Dammit Charlie
Sad to see another young guy loose his life do to dumb ass driving. Sorry for your loss man. I lost my best friend since 6th grade back in March in a bike accident. He had a new 750cc GSXR, 3 weeks old. He was in an addicent with a semi truck. John was full time army, and was stationed at Fort Biss in TX.

SpaceGhost
I've had the STI get squirrely on me a couple times, but I was able to control it for the most part. The STI is a bit more forgiving than the EVO. At least that is what I have read every year in all the Magazines that compare the two. Sucks to hear none the less, I swear though that the car looked a more of a darker blue to purple than the stock blue.

iwishiwascool
What an effing mess that is. It definitely took me a few months to get used to the tighter steering radius, oversteer, and rigidity of the evo. Ill brace myself for another insurance rate hike. GSXRAntwon
No that was not Marks (Quantum's) Evo. Slomo built the motor in it and from the pics it still had the stock intercooler and piping on it. Slomo did an aftermarket intercooler on it and piping. Damn what a loss this is, for the family of the gentleman and the car. My sympathy goes out to the families of these people and their friends. It doesn't matter how much driving experience you think you have, there will always be situations that arise that you are not prepared for. What is even more critical is that your passenger's life is in your hands. One lapse of reason ( ie. showing off) can kill you both.
