nurkvinny
Which do you use? I am buying one or the other tomorrow.
87GT
Sirius because Stern is on there. I heard that sirius bought XM, and soon you maybe able to hear all channels regardless what you had.
nurkvinny
The buyout has not happened yet (as of this morning). Stern would be a plus. Columbus morning shows FTL.
87GT
Sirius also has a Frank Sinatra channel. ^_^

Kevin R.
Everything Sirius makes is better quality as far as I have seen. Their interfaces and service far exceeds XM, hence why XM is about to be bought out.
Cougar1647545494
I had XM and didn't like it. I have no experience with Sirius. I just thought the quality was poor. It would probalbly have helped if I got away from the poor fm transmitter. I would drive up 315 and pick up crap other people were listening to. RedRocket1647545505
My truck came with XM, so I subscribed to it. It's got one modern rock station (Squizz), but they play the same damn songs over and over. I'm not really impressed with it. I don't do morning shows. I've never really tried Sirius. 88lx5oh
may i suggest also.. when buying a unit definately check out the new starmate 4. probably the best unit out there, unless your getting an indash cd player with it bult in. but for best reception to your stock radio get a fm direct adapter, almost a must for any satelite radio, your reception wont be to bad without it, but for perfect clarity you gotta get one (pick it up on ebay cheap).. and a hardwire kit for the power, so you dont have wires and plug in your cig lighter outlet. also with the new style units.. they have docking stations.. the older models did not like mine. so now when you buy a home kit, you can just pull your starmate 4 off the docking station taking it in the house.. pop it in your home docking station and listen.. or to another vehicle with a docking station and pop it in and go. starmate 4 (pause, rewind) (game alerts) store up to 30 channel presets http://www.sirius-radio-satellite.com/images/site/products/starmate4/st4hb_large.jpg fm direct adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/Sirius-FM-Direct-Adapter_W0QQitemZ330207131863QQihZ014QQcategoryZ60205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://i7.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/d0/40/d947_1.JPG hardwire kit http://cgi.ebay.com/Sirius-Car-Power-Kit-Hardwire-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ200193745994QQihZ010QQcategoryZ60205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://i19.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/d3/32/6cfa_1.JPG home docking station http://www.sirius-radio-satellite.com/images/site/products/universal/homekit/homeuniversal.jpg this is a good deal for a starmate 4 with car and home docking kits http://cgi.ebay.com/Sirius-Satellite-Radio-Starmate-4-Home-Car-Kit_W0QQitemZ150209455391QQihZ005QQcategoryZ109256QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Ok im done.. sorry just a big sirius fan! Putty
I voted XM cause that's what's installed in my car. I wanted Sirius though.
SpaceGhost
If the merger happens you will have to buy a new radio to get the XM side of things. SO if you are wanting Baseball on Sirius, you should wait to buy equipment.
Nitrousbird
I voted XM cause that's what's installed in my car. I wanted Sirius though. They make a simple, fairly inexpensive unit that swaps out your XM "brain" for Sirius. Buy it. http://tssradio.com My roomate has XM, I have Sirius. XM really sucks in comparison, and that's ignoring the far superior talk radio and sports packages Sirius has; most of the music channels are better, NO COMMERCIALS on Sirius music channels, etc.

Buck531
I need to get the antenna kit. The static in the car fucking sucks ass. If I wanted to move to another car (for like a week), I can go back to using wireless right?
sciongirl
I have XM.. I've had it for years and I love it. I'm just used to it.. but I like Pioneer head units and in the beginning, they only did XM.
Draco-REX
I went Sirius when Stern was picked up. The first week alone paid for the unit in laughs. There are ads on the talk stations, but they're few and far between. There's NO commercials on the music stations. No censoring either. I did have the misfortune of listening to XM in my sister's car. Their channel lineup is confusing, and the names of their channels are even worse. (WTF kind of music is on "Lucy"?) Overall, I think Sirius is much better thought out and run. Granted, you might have some sports considerations, so I'd look into which carries what sport. But I don't listen to sports so it wasn't an issue for me. Also, if you want to play your radio in a public setting (say at work), you might want XM for it's censored channels. Right now, the only thing I hate (hate, Hate, HATE) about Sirius is Jason Ellis. He's cracked his head too many times on the pavement and thinks he's the second Howard. But people seem to think he's funny or something so he's now on TWO of my favorite channels. GRRR.
Putty
Yea, the commercials are starting to piss me off. I'm thinking, wait, I pay for this shit and STILL have to hear commercials? It seems like the stations got to break around the same time cause on my way in I listen to Fox News and CNN. One goes to break, I switch to other, and they are on break, too. Sparky
I had XM and got rid of it because there were commercials. Last time i checked i was paying for not having commercials. I would say Sirius but im not sure if you get commercials on that also.
