My average is sitting at 32 in my S4...but most of the time i see high 30s while driving. This all based on what the screen tells me and i dont get on it much

dan93z28
in that f-body? yup. bear in mind that is exclusively city driving, and it BADLY needs a tune. its running rich as all hell, so basically its a piece of shit, but i love it. John Bruh
the tdi ratings are probably different this year because of the new standards for diesel fuel (lower sulfur). i know i drove a 06 for about 1mo and i averged like 45mpg i do mainley highway driving. but still its a VW :gay:
Lustalbert
Typicaly 18 highway 12 city in the dakota. 3.9L making 125 HP. Suck
ShankroidBeast
I watch my MPG very closely. I get about 18-20mpg average. The best I've gotten is 25mpg on the highway. I've got a SOHC 4.6l with all the bolt-on's. What hurt my mileage the most was my 4.10 gears. Now that I paid off my Stang I'm thinking about getting an electric water pump and aluminium drive shaft. Maybe that will get me 2mpg better. Not great, but I love to drive it and no payments mean I can spend a little more on gas. Lighter rims, a tubular K-member, rear seat delete, racing seats, and other lightening things should help as well. Should offset adding a roots supercharger in the future
lawnman
I got 28.5 on a trip to Detriot in my t/a. 6 speed FTW!! Had a Volvo 850 that only got upper 20's on the freeway, that sucker was at 3200 rpm at 70 mph.
FourString
There's no point unless you removed your OMP, or it went bad. I guess he had a very faint rattling noise or something that he could never figure out and neither could the dealership. The noise stopped after he started premixing and he says it runs much smoother. I don't know if it is psychological or not, but he said that many people on the RX-8 forums are doing it too. I know it may not be required, but it certainly does not hurt. It is a rotary.
Patrick
Nope, premixing is never a bad idea. Never can have enough lube in those things.
iwantaturbo
Because WRX's only get shitty gas milage because the owners can't stay out of BEWST I've pulled 27mpg out of mine with cruise control. I average 23. Which for a 2.0 still kinda sucks. i get no more than 23 on the hwy on cruise control
