From what I have heard they are a cheap but dependable and good gun. I haven't heard any complaints from them and are normally recommended when someone is looking for a cheap 1911. Copperhead has one, I believe. Taurus also makes a decent entry level 1911 from what I've heard. I've heard of prices as low as $460ish for those, NIB.
