Ramsey
sounds like the belt is miss aligned... is it eating the belt? if its of its only off 1/16th of an inch.. the pully was so hard to get on.. does run but for like 10 seconds
Ramsey
could i burn up the alt?
Buckeye1647545503
You most likely put the belt on wrong causeing it to be too tight. Or the new ps pump is locked up
nurkvinny
Dump antifreeze from the upper hose into the alternator when you removed it? Have a ground touching a postive somewhere? What does the smoke smell like... electrical? burning coolant?
Ramsey
Smoke was coming from spilled coolant, and we pushed the pully on which straightened it out.. everything is fine now.
