Science Abuse
http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/962/casecj5.jpg Not pictured: 2-fan Blow-through power supply. Just have to go through and tape up all of the holes that aren't an exit. Yes, my airbox is Tupperware. I needed something that would seal, yet pop off when I wanted it to. So I RTV'd the lid to the case, cut my holes, and bam. I do allot of woodwork out there, huge amount of dust. I may change to larger Tupperware, and automotive panel filters. Science Abuse
I like your style Mr. Bloke. A freind of mine directed the wiring... to make sure I didn't fuck it up. While he was there, he added KOBRAH IZE! http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/8375/eyesnq6.jpg
TheHaze
What do you use this for? You running CNC or lathe programs?
JaSSon
You should seperate your CPU fan duct from your giant blower motor. You're just going to be stealing the CPU fan's thunder with them sucking from the same intake. You have a boost leak.
Science Abuse
No worries, that filter flows plenty for both. If I were to use a more restrictive automotive filter, I'll probably do something like that. No CNC stuff, just loading plans and CD shop manuals. Here's the monitor placement on the workbench: http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/1402/shoplo3.jpg
spankis
This would be cool if I had my own garage. I find that I'm always dragging my laptop out to work in my dad's garage, I'm afraid I'll really grub it up w/ dirty hands one of these days.... Rally Pat
I kept a desktop in my garage of the summer to look stuff up on car forums and such, and because I had PDF's of a few MR2 factory manuals. It came in really handy. I ended up selling the computer to my Aunt and Uncle, though.
87GT
That is interesting. I love custom case mods.
Patrick
I'll probably be making an entertainment computer as well as a shop computer, it is really nice to have out there, so you don't have to print, run into the house, etc, etc. Nice workings there.
