Putty
For lawn care? I'm considering this. Wondering what it costs or is it better/cheaper for me to get a few bags from Lowe's and spread it myself to just be done with it.
Buck531
I think it's been brought up before (maybe over a year ago? ) about Either Scotts or some other company ripping people off. Whoever you go with, tell them you DO NOT want the Special treatment (lime, grubs, etc)and the other "special" treatments. $50+ bucks and they didn't even tell me they were coming out to do it. They just did it. This was even after I told them at the beginning of the year that I did NOT want them to do the special treatments. I'm only sticking with Chem Lawn because they haven't raised my rates up in 8 years i've lived there. My parents have about the same yard and pay close to $50 a session. I pay $28.00 . If I were you I'd just pay them to knock down the weeds and such and do the other stuff yourself (Grubs, lime).
dragknee66
Ya It was, they ruin peoples shit. Putty, you know how lazy mofos are today, just imagine the bums that probably work for them hah. I would do it all yourself

HotCarl
Ive heard Scotts will almost harass you if you decide to terminate their services. In other words, they will keep coming out and charging you for it and keep calling you to make sure you dont want it etc... I cant remember who said they do this, maybe it was Buck? Putty
Kinda like the girls gone wild vids.....order one and get 10....we thought you wanted more, so we sent them and went a head and charged you. **So I heard**
Rally Pat
Chem Lawn does a good job, but they are a bit like AOL. When you want to stop your service, they beat around the bush with offers of a free month or whatever in order to get you to stay.

TTQ B4U
I use Scotts and they are great. I forget how many times they come out...6-7 something like that. They treat for grubs and what not and have had zero issues in the 5+ years I've used them. If you aren't happy, one phone call and they come out right away to make it right. if you see weeds pop up or anything that comes up, they will take care of it and have been good for us. Others that aren't happy...who knows why. It all boils down to the tech I suppose. We've only had two techs over those many years. one got promoted is why he isn't doing our grass. I paid them to air plug our lawn and top dress it last fall and it's as thick as an afro right now. Way better than last spring even and it looked good then.
