ls1_miata
i dont see the difference between a rx7 ls1 and a miata ls1. because weight is around the same. My car weighs about 2500lbs, I though ls1 rx-7's weigh 2800-2900lbs? Thats a big difference.
starkmaster03
If you want to through a SB V8 into a sport compact you should look at the Fiero. Not saying it's for everyone but it's in my plan, then again I'm not an import guy.
ls1_miata
except fiero's are normally rust buckets these days (the frame atleast). Plus its harder to get a transverse engine or make a longitudinal one fit. A v8 miata isn't much of an import. plus, i think fiero's are ugly. The longitudinal one fits with either an Audi 5000 transaxle or a porche 915 but they have bolt in kits for the northstar, LT1's and LS motors. The Getrag 5 speed is strong enough for a stock to slightly tweaked LS and as for looks there are plenty of body conversion kits out there.
