Rob1647545496
i was watching the one where they tore apart the 747 and they were talking about depleted uranium. i know they use it in A-10 30mm rounds to penetrate tank armor because of it's density. but does anyone know what part of the plane uses it and why it needs it. Avenger1647545502
Um, I didn't watch it, but my guess would be that they found detectable levels from servicemen tracking it in after the first Gulf War. 90% of service personnel came home on regular airliners. Standard vacuum cleaners won't suck it up from carpets, and it gradually gets pushed down into the bottom of the plane. Same thing with mercury and other heavy elements.
