V8 Beast
Differential is leaking again Appears to come and go. Something about having it on a lift seems to make it leak for a little while afterwards then it will stop. There is no spray off under the car, so its hard to pin point whats going on. When the car is in the air it looks like the diff drops and the drive shaft rests up against the exhaust pipe. Then it will start to slowly leak from the pinion. Its happened twice so far and both times I park it. Come back to a small puddle, rince it off, then it stops. This may be a newb question, but should the pinion leak if the drive shaft if slightly off (I mean like if its pushed with 3 pounds of pressure off to a side)
AJ
it shouldn't leak, make sure your pinion bearings are tight and not moving side to side. weld the pinion yoke to the diff houseing and then cover in RTV, that should take care of the leak.
