JaSSon
Don't buy the extended warranty, at least not from Circuit city. I've been waiting 3 months for "parts to come in". The repair company (Thompson Electronics) Actually said it's MY RESPONSIBILITY to call and check on the parts. F THAT. Called the store manager where I bought the TV, haven't heard back from him in days.

Many of them are very shady businesses. When they said its your responsibility to check on parts they probably weren't joking. I have done warranty work for 3rd parties like that when I used to work on electronics and thats the way some of those companies do in fact operate. Most of them also end up not paying the guys that are actually doing the repair work and or go out of business and start up under different names a lot. JaSSon
You're welcome to meet up with me and use my Panasonic discount. It's still in effect Browse their consumer site at http://www.panasonic.com and review both the LCD and Plasmas and let me know which one you'd like a price on. I just hooked a buddy at work up on a nice 50" 1080P and the best reaction is to have had him tell me he's actually in love with his TV We have a 32" LCD in our guest bedroom and it's very nice. PM me if interested. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50
Dr. Apex
We looked at a really nice Toshiba that I liked and H.H.Gregg had by far the best price on it even vs. what I could find on the web, but their extended warranties were very expensive and looked to be 3rd party.
