6 Speed S4
I need someone to fix my new short shifter in my audi a4 1.8tqm. Its about 3/4 installed but I keep getting frustrated and have spent too much time on it. You'll need most your own tools but easy 100 for someone who knows audi/vw. I have garage space and lights, its sitting in the garage. PM me.

Trouble Maker
Make sure you install it right or you're car won't shift right. http://www.toyguy.o-f.com/ssi.html The angle of the dangle is the really important part.
6 Speed S4
biggest pain in the ass ever, until nick discovered the mounts that hold the shifter in place were upside down and on the wrong sides then we just put the stock one back in with aftermarket bushings... SPLN SUX
Yea it was a sucessfull failure. We didnt get the B&M in, but I was able to piece back together the mess that i started with lol. Getting that B&M in there should be easier now that I know how it SHOULD look when it goes back together.
Twistedrx7
this thread does sound really gay... Talking about swapping knobs Wondering when they are going to get their "receiver" Sending your brother over to get it instead realizing it was a huge pain in the ass, and when you tried to put it in, it was upside down. How do you even do that? and finally... "Getting in there should be easier now that I know how it SHOULD look when it goes back together." I sense a lot of gay in this thread. Brandon
I did the B&M in my car, its easily laid out, did you not have the instructions with it?
6 Speed S4
Instructions are for 5 models of audis/VWs with different shift patterns and spring reverse on some so it confused the hell outta me. I can pretty much take the shifter in and out in 10 min tops after seeing Nick do it like 4 times haha.
