In stock form the 5.0L platform is 10 times more stronger than the weak 4.6L... if you want to make a mustang go fast for cheap than the 5.0L is the way to go... easier and cheaper to build than the 4.6L, far more beter and easier to mod, and part are everywhere if you need them for darn near nothing...

yeah, but 5.0's are getting pretty old, and if you don't buy a pristine one, you will be chasing stupid reliability issues and completely worn out parts/body forever. buy a newer one, and strap on a blower and go.

5.0's will nickle and dime the shit out of you. sure, they CAN BE cheap, but they can also be frustrating if you're replacing parts constantly on a 15 year old car.

 once again.

193,3XX miles and the only major thing I have replaced on this car is the transmission. My pocket is full of nickels and dimes.

But I do agree with you on buying one because you never know with older cars.

All fast cars will do that.

You've either been lucky or you don't abuse it as much as a lot of us. Race it every weekend and let us know what you break.
