Guest Hal
MS3 will be as big as I would go for an auto car. Even the MS3 IMO is a little big.
V8 Beast
It boils down to what you want out of a cam. There is no right or wrong answer, only advice on cam characteristics.... bucking/surging, stalling, exhaust volume, gas milage, idle, etc. A good tune goes a long way, but a big cam isnt for everyone. What you should do is ride a long in a few cammed auto cars and use that to make up your mind. I'm in the cam game right now myself. At first I thought 228/232 was enough... TurboRust
i'm saying 295-35-18's unless you wanna smash the fenders.. i thinks joh rutan has a 315-30.
RUTAN TA1647545492
315/35r17 with a little work to the inner fenderwell. side note: a regular radial wont take as much work bc the sidewalls are stiffer than a drag radial so give your self extra room. RUTAN TA1647545492
I would go with a MS3 or a Vengance cam, both will make great power with the TFS 215's or AFR 205's.
Flybye
HPE c-cam with an auto....those things make some killer power. and put down good numbers too. im sure you already know this..but dont go buying cams for HP numbers. its the performance and track times that count
