Browning
steering column from the exact same year s10 as mine. Now, when you push on the brake when the key is makes the same sound that these do when you leave your headlights on. Turn the key on and press the brake, no sound. Also my headlights aren't coming on and my tail lights look extra bright

Browning
I don't remember having to remove any grounds while taking the column out

Browning
so changing the sensors or whatever that are the on the column to my old ones should fix it then
Browning
nope, still fucked up. I must have pulled a wire in the dash or something
Guest Removed
why did you change it?
Browning
turn signal lever was fucked up(couldn't get it out) plus this new one is in better shape. I hooked up all the old connections from the original column and it does the same thing. I'm pretty lost now:( it has to be in the main harness for the column, the one that has the really long white plug and the black plug that connects to it which is nowhere near the same size. edit- here is the harness that is giving me the problem. http://img1.hugeup.com/f/08052008/35d03d3.JPG By the way this relay is just part of the old alarm correct? It had one in it at one time or another but the brain is gone and the wires cut and removed http://img1.hugeup.com/f/08052008/fd4186.JPG Can I just remove the splice and do away with this now? also notice the pinch but it's not the same harness giving me trouble
