Big News here I found it on http://www.mmascraps.com I think Lesnar will be in trouble on this one:

BloodyElbow has exclusive details on what now is becoming more than just speculation. Michael Rome of BE has the scoop.

First, I can say with 100% certainty that there are current negotiations for Randy Couture to return in November to main event, and that the current proposed opponent is Brock Lesnar. They can't get Fedor, too many issues to work out on short notice, and he has a US-only non compete with Affliction.

This will be a new contract, not a return to the old one. It will likely pay him more and give him more benefits, but it will lock him into the UFC for the long term. In exchange for signing it Zuffa would drop all breach of contract charges.

Its not just Rome either, Dave Meltzer has started confirming things on f4wonline.com

A source close to Randy Couture has confirmed today that Couture is in negotiations with UFC for a new three-fight deal which would end the nearly nine month legal battle between the two sides.

If the deal is closed, and the source said they are hoping to conclude negotiations and announce the match sometime within the next week, Couture would face Brock Lesnar on 11/15, most likely in Portland, Oregon.

Couture was said to be hoping that if everything went well, the next two fights could involve Fedor, Nogueira, and/or Chuck Liddell. However, all previous hangups involving Emelianenko and UFC remain.

In addition Ariel Helwani at MMARated is reporting that an announcement by the UFC may be made on Tuesday and the UFC is considering a Fedor fight after the Lesnar match-up.

Believe it or not, the UFC is also considering a proposal from M-1 Global to co-promote a Randy Couture vs. Fedor Emelianenko bout following the Lesnar fight in November. The third proposed fight would be a bout against either current interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira or Chuck Liddell - depending on where both fighters are in their respective careers. However, given the nature of the fight game and the fighters involved, it's hard to predict what will happen that far in advance.

I really hope they dont put Lesner vs Coture on the market. People are always dissing Kimbo for fighting 40 year old fighters (myself included), so it would be the exact same thing. I think Lesner vs Chiek Kongo is a much better fight. I would love to see Fedor in UFC but dont get your hopes up. He wants a million bucks a fight and Dana is not going to give him that much. Coture vs Liddell would be sweet if it was both of their last fights.

As much as a Kimbo fan I am. Hong Mon Choi would definately beat him Fedor had to submit him to beat him barely got any punches in against the big Korean guy

oh i know, kimbo would lose both those fights. he'd make a couple million dollars doing it though, and could just work for that porn company for the rest of his life.

Rumor has it there will be a super fight early 2009 Fedor vs Randy Couture

And it looks like Randy Couture will fight Lesnar in November after Couture's contract is finalzed.

You might also want to check out the Kimbo fight on CBS it will probably be the last time you see the craptacular mess of a show on there. It looks like CBS is in talks with the UFC to get them on primtime network TV.

Oh god lets hope UFC doesnt go primetime on CBS, CBS doesnt want to show blood thats the reason they dont zoom in on the fighters when they get a cut if you have noticed

i dunno, they showed Thompson's ear popping a whooooooole mess of times on instant replay.

And they also stopped that fight way to early because CBS doesnt like the violence associated with MMA, they like the ratings and money it brings. But they dont like the complete package. I dont see UFC going to CBS they got it made on Spike. CBS wont show reruns of the ultimate fighter like spike does for starters.

I don't think it would be a total jump. CBS wants a better weekly or monthly fight series.

You are right they want all the money it brings but not the way it brings it in.

Well its confirmed "In a conference call today UFC president Dana White confirms that Brock Lesnar will be squaring off against Randy Couture at UFC 91 in Vegas (was originially supposed to be in Oregon). The winner of this fight will face the winner of the Frank Mir vs Nog fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship title in the spring.

I garuntee you Cheik Kongo is one pissed off mofo right now. He feels and I agree with him that he should get a title shot. UFC is pushing Lesnar because he will sell, but they are going to lose other good talent in the process.

The Iceman got OWNED that was a nasty punch.

Looks like the rumors that Fedor VS Couture being difficult to put together are false. Randy will talk about it this week it seems that it is in Fedor's contract that he can pretty much fight Couture anytime he wants.
