evan9381
been considering getting rid of my ball python lately. had him since febuary 07. was a sweet thing to have in my apartment, but when we got new tv and some other stuff, had to move him to a spare bedroom, and he just sits in the cage all day. i probably havent had him out in a month. hopefully someone would be interested. if not, he'll just stay in the room ive got him in a 29g tank (30"w x 12"d x 18"t), solid wood top with light bulb outlet, 40w bulb, rock, bedding (might still have a bit left to clean his tank again before he goes), water bowl, piece of wood, and a hide rock i just got a couple months ago, was like 20$. fits him a lot better than the old log i had. ive also got some fake vine around here somewhere ill throw in if you want to take the time to screw it to the lid to hang it. $100 for everything lemme find some pics... evan9381
bump. just cleaned his cage and have about 2lb of bedding left that will go with him, enough to replace the whole tank worth when its time to change it again if you need a stand, ill throw in the dual 29g tank stand ive got him on now for $30 (was $60 new, black wrought iron), which means you can put another tank on the bottom with fish or another animal in the same size tank. thorne
Great looking snake. I personally have 2 ball pythons I plan to mate. If you decide for some reason you need to have him rescued let me know. Don't really have any extra funds atm or I would get him . Nice tank setup. I really like using Paper toys for bedding its really really easy to clean up.
evan9381
im assuming you mean paper towels, which that isnt. its not cheap either, but its easy for him to digest if he gets some while eating. its like 16-20 bucks for 4lbs depending where i get it, but it last for 3 tank changes. im not looking to just give it away so if no one buys, it'll stay he probably was getting ready to shed. the pic is a couple months old
unfunnyryan
I'm sort of interested. I think it would be a nice addition to my room. However I think it would scare the shit out of my cat. Do other animals behave differently when they see this thing?

Do other animals behave differently when they see this thing? I have a similar "issue" that wasn't much of an issue. I wouldn't be worried. I have two cats both being rather young and very adventurous. I have a small 10gal with a Leo Gecko in it and my cats have never tried to get into the tank, they just sit beside it. Also I doubt the cats would be scared of it unless the snake was aggressive to the cat. Anyway the snake will be locked up unless you get it out which would make it pretty easy to monitor. However I think it would scare the shit out of my cat. Do other animals behave differently when they see this thing? i dont get the snake out very often, but when i do, if im sitting on the couch with it, my cats come up and sniff it a little bit then walk away (2 cats). they ignore it most of the time since its in his tank. the snake is very calm...as stated, ive got a 2.5 year old neighbor who comes up to see the fish and snake, and i actually got it out a couple weeks ago and he held it wrapped around his arm for like 5 minutes while we went next door to show his mom
thorne
I've got dogs and a cat and they all leave the snakes alone. sometimes the cat likes to watch the snake in the cage. And the bdogs love to watch him eat.
