koolrayz
I Made a couple of test hits sunday. Track prep was poor and I am still fighting a noise issue with my two step so the launch was very poor. This thing spools so quickly that it gets violent quickly. I was only running 12 psi of total boost and the temps were in the 90's Trapping 147mph seemed good considering. Hope to start leaning on it this weekend. I figure 15 psi should get me in the low 150 range and hope to keep the heads down in the 20psi range http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc122/koolrayz/DSC07738.jpg
SRTurbo04
RAY!!!!! you finally painted your hood! haha lookgs awesome cant wait to see this thing run when its fully dialed in. how is traction off the two step?
koolrayz
the two step is still not working so i really cant get the hang of launching it without it. I think I have the problem tracked down and will have a noise surpressing diode tomorow.

excell
Ray, you're a classic example of how to do this correctly. You have a great looking car that runs right and runs well and you spend the time and money to know it. Kudos, man.

koolrayz
made a few more hits these passes were a little under 15psi. Still not leaving hard enough. It spools up really quickly I just need to get the hang of launching without the two step. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc122/koolrayz/DSC07772.jpg

koolrayz
Wanted a turbo blanket but I am low on funds after finishing the build. I found this material that we discontinued at work. We used it on the normalizing furnaces which we run over 1700F so I know it will workk. It was A bitch making the template while the turbo was installed. it was even harder to install. I will make a better one over the winter when the turbo is out. This will work for now and the materail seems to work great. The real test will come at the track but right now I brought the cat up to temperature and there was NO heat radiating through the blanket. I need to look up the material specifications. It is a multi layer cloth with a rubber like coating. I painted it with high temp black paint but it doesn't seem to adhere very well. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc122/koolrayz/DSC07773.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc122/koolrayz/DSC07774.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc122/koolrayz/DSC07776.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc122/koolrayz/DSC07775.jpg
