He was quoted a price of $1100 . and the mechanic told him that was giving him a discount on labor . What should be the normal cost to replace one ? Thanks. Dammit Charlie Posted December 2, 2008 Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 My brother has a 95 z28, and we installed a racetronix(?) fuel pump kit on it in about 2-3 hours using the trap door trick. If your friend has ANY experience working on cars, I'm sure he can do this. It's one of the easiest installs I've ever done on an F-body car.
