If it works that is quite the innovation. Bye bye superchargers.

They actually do work, I did some reading a few months ago where they were being used on some kind of big diesel engines. Other than the price, I don't see why people shouldn't start slapping them in their cars in the upcoming months/years.

me either, but maybe I didn't look hard enough. I also didn't see how they're controlling the variable vanes....is it done with a pressure line?

 

unfortunately they also don't flow very much either, so you'll likely need to use 2 for any decent sized motor application, which ups the cost even more.

Some of the cost could be made up due to not needing many of the supplies/parts needed to do a normal turbo install. I didn't actually look at the price of these, so I don't know if you'd come out ahead or not since I didn't feel like putting forth the effort to find out. :p
