Kevin R.
If it works that is quite the innovation. Bye bye superchargers.
Farkas
variable vane.. interesting. So what would you need to make a turbo like this to work?
unfunnyryan
What part of the turbo is the 'vane' ? Something I just thought of, how could you a variable nozzle like this http://attach.high-g.net/attachments/pw_nozzle.jpg onto a turbocharger? iluvfastcarz
If it works that is quite the innovation. Bye bye superchargers. They actually do work, I did some reading a few months ago where they were being used on some kind of big diesel engines. Other than the price, I don't see why people shouldn't start slapping them in their cars in the upcoming months/years.
zeitgeist57
Price is a little high, though I'm sure they're still amortizing some of the R&D expenses over the few kits they have sold since 2003...
ImUrOBGYN
C'mon. One of you rich guys try it out. You know you want to. The Abercrombie isn't making you unique any longer. This will.

Limitedslip7
These have been around for quite a while. Corky Bell raved about them in his book; said they would be the future. That was like 15 years ago...
boostedgtp
I didnt see a price for just the unit?
Smokey
I didnt see a price for just the unit? me either, but maybe I didn't look hard enough. I also didn't see how they're controlling the variable vanes....is it done with a pressure line? unfortunately they also don't flow very much either, so you'll likely need to use 2 for any decent sized motor application, which ups the cost even more. ImUrOBGYN
Some of the cost could be made up due to not needing many of the supplies/parts needed to do a normal turbo install. I didn't actually look at the price of these, so I don't know if you'd come out ahead or not since I didn't feel like putting forth the effort to find out.
