Guest tbutera2112
I read they are removing that traction crap that was breaking tranny's. they need to advertise a better tranny or something...launch control or not they already proved that the trannys were shit
Putty
"Of course, already pointed out in the thread are the http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpub...san-GTR.pdfand http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpub...09_GTR_WIB.pdf. Both explicitly state what is and isn't covered. It's the warranty information booklet that best applies to Septskyline case and explains on page 30, under the "What is not covered" section: "This warranty does not cover damage, failures or corrosion resulting from... Operating the vehicle with the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC off), except when rocking vehicle when stuck in mud or snow..." To get the word straight from the horse's mouth, we turned to our source at Nissan who summed up the situation: "Switching VDC off doesn't void the warranty nor does running the Launch Control on the car. However, if someone switches off VDC, enables Launch Control and then breaks something while doing this, we wouldn't pay (under warranty) for the specific parts that break during this action." So for those owners looking to modify your state-of-the-art Japanese supercar right off the dealership lot (or engage in VDC-disabled hooligan activities), be forewarned: Read your owner's manual, avoid a headache, and save yourself what could potentially be a hefty chunk of dough should anything snap, crackle or pop." Putty
"except when rocking vehicle when stuck in mud or snow..." So here's the fix....You break it doing other shit. Get it to a mud pit and spin the shit outta it. Have it towed to Nissan muddy as hell. Say you got stuck.....Covered!
Guest tbutera2112
it records speed and rpm etc etc when it breaks...so they would see that you were not in the mud

Just saying I would gladly stuff a ZR1 into my V. If someone wants to donate one from a (heaven forbid) wrecked ZR1, ill take it and go play with some dope that blew 160K on that fugly Nissan. Wonderboy
I still think that they fucked up when they quit making the r34. I wish they would have started producing them again and imported those instead.
TTQ B4U
I would never spend $160k on that. If one can afford that much for a car, much nicer rides abound. No thanks.
