mrs.cos
I need my bathtub back. Help. The drain on this bathtub keeps coming loose. I have tightened it down , but it wont stop leaking.. its not gripping the actual drain pipe and i can move it up and down on the pipe, no matter how hard i tighten the nut. there is a rubber gasket that fits over the drain pipe, and would fit inside the trap pipe which should stop it from leaking, but it just wont tighten down.. any thoughts? I tightened this once and it stopped leaking and it lasted for about 6 months... now i cant get it to stop leaking http://www.thehaltermans.com/bathtub.jpg
FourString
Is this all PVC? If so, are any of the nylon "gaskets" broken? A new trap does not cost much.
Lustalbert
Disasemble, inspect parts for cracks, bad seals ect. A friendly reminder, use seperate PVC primer and glue, the all in one glue/primer is junk.

wnaplay1647545503
First off, how are you able to access the pipes? i.e basement, crawlspace, access panel?
