schmuckingham Posted December 17, 2008 Report Share Posted December 17, 2008 Went and looked at a 86 Fox GT with a 351w swap. Car is a non start ( fuel issues) but does crank over with no problem. A lot of the electrical has been hacked at but this car is a carb car so most of it is ignition related which is an easy fix. Body is straight with no rust and the frame has one small patch of rust thast very fixable. Interior is nasty and needs ripped out, the rear hatch has no lock or latch in it and its missing some molding. I would pretty much use this for a track whore that i could drive on the street and leave it carbed but I wanted some opinions first. You could just rat it out leave the body the way it it rip out interior finish motor slap some radials on it and beat the livin shit outta it as long as its in a good range of $$ Seems like a lil bit of work to make her roadworthy.. Save yourself some headaches and let this one pass I thought about that but most of the elctronics is for the gauge cluster, which still works, and the car has spark just very little fuel pressure. Most of the elctronics would get ripped out and all I would have is what would be needed ( ignition, fuel pump, gauges) and everything else removed. In my opinion it looks like a great project car if your going to take the time to completely diassasemble and go through the car.
