I know everyone is moving to digital or is already there, but this is a featureful camera and would be the perfect gift for someone starting out in photography or a student, or just someone who wants great quality pics at an affordable price. The promaster 28-80mm lens is a great all-around lens ..good for portraits, landscapes, and everyday shots. I am including a new samsonite camera case, 2 rolls of kodak professional black and white and 4 rolls of fujifilm 800 speed x-tra brand (still in box). Film is brand new, as is the case. This is seriously a great setup for any level of photography. . . a nice light weight body and lens. . . but not overly so. . . . and the ability to use any canon EF lens is a plus. . so upgrading in the future is EASY!
