excell
lol yea I got rid of all my stuff a long time ago. I can do the PCM, but I don't have write for your year. Add it to your HPT and I'll do that.
Tshensley
you dont need the CAI. I have dyno proven gains of 22hp by just putting a open cone filter right on the throttle body.

While I agree that an aftermarket intake isn't necessary and a "DIY" works just fine, I can't believe you'd gain that much power just from an open cone
Tshensley
I didnt really believe it either at first. So I made 3 more pulls just to confirm it.

I wouldn't use an Short Ram intake in the summer though. Way too much heat soak when moving from a stop. I did a cheap Fenderwell Intake on my last three GP's and it worked great. I still have a K&N 9" filter in my garage if anyone wants it. Needs oiled, but it's good.

2 Sweet
I had an SLP intake on my GTP, and also an open cone at one point, and didn't notice a difference in performance. I just liked hearing the whine, and the reduced KR

Thats all i put on mine too was the open cone, I was surprised of the gain too. I don't think it seemed like 22hp, but it was definitely noticeable on the track times and cheaper. NTHER91
The car just seems more responsive since putting it on the reason there is piping on them is so that it dosnt draw heat from the engine bay hence COLD air cuz hot air is bad
Tshensley
Yes I know hot air is bad, But I had the car on the dyno for a total of 5 hours. It was well heated up around 190 when doing the runs of the filter sittting on the throttle body.
