I was told that a bbf and a sbm oil in the same manner.

IIRC Mine goes from the pump-main oil galley is behind the lifter bores on the right side.

If so, what did you drill?

they seem to oil in the same manner, but im not sure of where the sbm oil pump is.

The 429/460 oiling system feeds the 5 mains from the passenger side lifter gallery. Also, the passenger side lifter galllery's oil path then hops the lifter valley (near the rear) and continues on to the driver's side lifter gallery.

go here to see all the mods and read cafefully!

http://www.highflowdynamics.net/

each mod has a set of pics, and instructions.

i was thinking of doing the dizzy gear lube mod, but tyler isnt running the same setup as my motor.so no worries there

all the trick on that site are the ones i use on even a basic rebuild.except the front oil gallery mod(for boats mainly, or real fast drag cars just for the big end on braking)

basicly the oil pump channel from the pump the the filter is the one you drill and open up.

small one off to the left.

My pump bolts to the rear main cap. The filter is on the passenger rear, I hear some guys talking about drilling the oil passage larger. But I haven't found out what they are drilling at this point, my next motor will def need this mod.

Checking your link brb....

how big is the hole now?

looks like you cant open it much but to running into the main bolt casting area!

but im sure done right it could, then blend the whole area in where it hit the oil filter, unless theres some funcky thing that bolts down in there.smooth everything out, and make sure the oil has a way to get back to the pan just as fast so i dont run dry

that would be some carefull drilling. do you know how to mod the oil pumps in those to push more presure and flow? cause once you start making these changes, pressure drops some. but you pick up flow/volume

Couldn't tell you exactly, the bolt holes for the pump are 3/8 thread for reference. Yes its extremely careful drilling if thats the hole they refer to. They recommend the hole to be opened up to 50 thou, but I am just going of memory. I've had no luck finding any oil systems mods to read up on for these.

going to start resealing the heads and do some clean up work on them, and everything on this thing will be going blacked out. only thing shiny will be the bolts.
