Skinner
http://www.leftlanenews.com/gm-considers-axing-saab-saturn-pontiac-as-part-of-bailout-proposal.html I can see Hummer going away but think dumping Pontiac is a bad idea. Also though Saturn was doing better but guess not.

hot_wire
Saturn seemed like it was on the way up. Would be cool to see the original aircraft company undo the damage that GM has dealt to SAAB. Doubt they (or the Swedish .gov) feel up to that task. ImUrOBGYN
top seller in china No shit? Huh. It's kinda neat to see how different autos appeal to different countries/cultures. Also, I'm not so sure Saab is going anywhere.

TTQ B4U
Say goodbye to the performance cars period. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/18/breaking-gm-disbands-high-performance-vehicle-operations/ is this true?
manticore33
Their Buicks aren't anything like ours. They have RWD Buicks over there. That frustrates me so much! I really wish the US car manufactures would offer some of the neat cars they have in other markets. For instance, Ford has a Falcon sedan with a v8 or turbo 4.0l 6 cylinder that competes with the Holden (G8/GTO types) in Australia. Likewise, you can get the Euro/Aussie Focus with a turbo 5 cylinder engine. Plus, it looks better then the US spec Focus. I am almost under the impression the big-3 are trying to kill off their US divisions! Rally Pat
The Falcon straight six is one of those awesome Aussie only cars I wish we could have so much... those motors are as bulletproof as 2JZ's or RB26's.
