Fubar231
Fuck! You could get that shit way cheaper. Before you ask Nope, they're not knock off's. Here's the story... I found out that there is a supplier of “un-official” Russell Fittings. AND they are offered at a fraction of the price as the official Russell Fittings. The story is that the two owners of Russell Fittings parted ways. One owner kept the Russell name and moved the "Russell" company to California. The second owner moved to Florida and opened his own company and that’s where these fittings are coming from. The below supplier is where you can get these substantially low cost, “un-official” Russell Fittings. The picture I posted shows that they are VERY well made. No cheap pot metal. Performance Dynamics 804-427-5908 or 804-366-8321 www.performancedynamicsspeedshop.com From his previous post http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt257/CajunKenny_photos/P2225576.jpg He got them all for less than $60 shipped to his door. I am impatient and wanted shit today lol 4. Jegs was cheaper then anplumbing.com, earls, summit ect... 5. Whats 400 dollars when you have this much money wrapped up in a build, 6.Why does it matter how much of MY money I spent? (not trying to aim that directly at you, but I have seen a lot of people lately online telling others how they should be spending their money on their car)

DaddyBuiltRacing
3/28/10: I actually got this stuff late last night but didn't feel like posting up. I traded my buddy a 2040 proportioning valve off a crx for a 4040 he had laying around. Now I should be able to get the brake tuck done in the upcoming week. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0179.jpg Also a buddy of mine had a GSR gear set laying around that he didnt have a use for. Since mine was junk 1st-4th gear I needed parts to replace them, he gave this to me for free (Thanks Sam!!) http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0178.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
3/28/10: My spark plug wires came in today so went and picked those up. Also took the header that was gonna go in my gf's crx build and put it on my motor. I will be using it for my break in period and until I can afford boost parts. Thew my dizzy and spark plug wires on for mock-up and to seal the motor up completely to avoid anything from falling inside it. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0182.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0183.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0184.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0185.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
3/29/10: Trying to knock out the "to buy list", so today I called up Greg at Go-Autoworks and ordered one of his GT Series Catch Cans. Parts should start arriving this week, waiting on my quad-pod, CF spark plug cover and the catch can now. Also went to Honda and got a new Distributor cap and clutch slave cylinder If you haven't see the Go-Autoworks GT Series Catch Cans well then here ya go (btw Greg is very easy to deal with): http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/catchcan.jpg Dizzy and slave clyinder: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0187.jpg

DaddyBuiltRacing
Haha thanks, can't have it sitting outside alone in the garage, might get lonely out there. Our pitbull has become quite the friend to it, bastard likes to sleep under the motor curled up between the front and rear wheels of the engine stand haha. I'll try to snap a picture of him one day while hes sleeping there.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Yes I know I am over bandwith on photobucket, bare with me lol 4/4/10: Mista Bone came up today and picked up my transmission and all its new goodies. It will be back from its stay in Cincy in a couple weeks. 4/5/10: Came home today from work to find that my order from JHPUSA.com had arrived. Inside the box was my Vision carbon fiber spark plug cover. This thing is nice as hell looking, not some cheap over lay or jank ass shit. I highly reccomend picking one of these up, my only complaint would be shipping time (10 days) but its whatever, atleast it arrived and in 1 piece. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0211.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0212.jpg I think it helps break all the gold up and will match my AN fittings nicely http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0213.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0214.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0215.jpg I ordered my Blox TPS and Speed Factory Racing 4 bar map sensor (exact same as Hondata/Omni, made in same factory), got these parts directly from SpeedFactoryRacing, they are a sponsor on Honda-Tech Once the wife got home we ventured back up to jegs (she really hates this trip lol). I had to exchange a couple AN fittings that were the wrong size (Benen Fuel Rail is 3/8 NPT FYI), while there also picked up the fittings and hose for my catch can: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0216.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0217.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0218.jpg

DaddyBuiltRacing
4/9/10: The power steering bushing I ordered from Energy Suspension arrived today. Hopefully my subframe gets finished up at the powder coaters here in the next few days so I can get the bushing trimmed down to fit the manual rack on it. Also placed another order with Synchrotech and MFactory, had to buy a new 3/4 slider from synchrotech and differential bearings from MFactory. Synchrotech FTW again!! I ordered the slider and within 20mins I had an email with tracking number showing that the item had already shipped out. That is service you cannot beat!!! 4/10/10:Brake fittings galore!! All the fittings I ordered for my brake tuck arrived today. The gf also bought my brake line for me!! http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0224.jpg
darkside87t
Just thought I would toss in a couple pics of my mounts since they arrived: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/mount2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/mount.jpg i have these mounts in my car they are great, and reasonably priced as well!! DaddyBuiltRacing
Yeah I got a hookup on the mounts pricewise through swapshopracing.com I wish I wouldn't have gotten the anodized gold (paid a little extra) because I have now taken them to the powder coater to be color matched to valve cover lol. DaddyBuiltRacing
4/14/10: Wire tucking 101: Do not do this lol!! God what a pain in the ass this is to do, oh well its done now! 2 hours spent working on this today and got it 90% complete, just gotta hook up engine harness once I get motor in the car and its done. Started the day off by removing the front bumper: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0230.jpg After that I cut the grommets that hold the harnesses in place so I could pull them through the firewall: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0228.jpg After that I had to seperate the harness between engine harness and headlight harness. Once that was done I took the fenders off the car so I could run the harness along the frame rail. While the fender was off I decided to paint the frame rail black out of boredom lol: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0231.jpg This is what it looks like without the harnesses in the engine bay: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0233.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0229.jpg I had to extend 4 wires on the driver side for the headlight harness. Heres my dad lending a hand and soldering the wires: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0232.jpg After that I test fit everything 1 more time just to make sure all plugs reached their destination. After that put the fenders back on and boom it was done: http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/Car%20Pics/4dr%20GSR/101_0234.jpg For those wondering I didn't have to depin any harnesses in order to pull them through the holse in firewall or in the hole from cabin to frame rail (hole where speaker wires go). With a little twisting they all fit through, just takes patience (which I am learning to have from this build lol).
DaddyBuiltRacing
4/15/10: Tax day is amongst us....so lets all get car parts!! The differential bearings I ordered from MFactory arrived today, also the 3/4 Slider I ordered from Synchrotech arrived as well. I also went down to the powder coaters to check status of my parts I had dropped off down there, they are going same gold color as my valve cover btw. They will be done by saturday!!! zeitgeist57
Did you ever think about detailing the engine bay? I realize that would be a huge pain in the ass, but with such a cherry drivetrain, I figure it might be worth the effort...
DaddyBuiltRacing
Engine bay is going to be fully shaved and painted in the next week or so. Just picked up a new welder. I have a 100lb sand pot so I am going to sandblast the engine bay to remove any grease/grime then go from there lol. I am going to be replacing every bolt and washer under the hood too, I am anal about engine bays. I could care less what the rest of the car looks like as long as the engine bay looks good. DaddyBuiltRacing
4/16/10: One of the last packages I was waiting on finally arrived!! The quad-pods I got from Mike showed up today. Let me start by once again thanking Mike the owner of quad-pod. Secondly let me tell you how nice these things are in person, pictures do them no justice honestly. The color of the clock pod is identical to the Tan dashes some of us Teg owners rock. Lastly the gauge holes are perfect dimensions with no flaws. The items were packaged nice and securely with lots of bubble wrap, peanuts and air packs inside the box. For those interested again the website is http://www.quad-pod.com. Check my first page as well for more contact info such as email and username for Mike. Be sure to tell him that guy_from_nerk or Josh Moore sent you!!
