I have a 94 Jeep Cherokee Sport for Sale It will Make a good work truck 196,xxx miles auto 4wd on the floor power window / locks ac/heat * Heat is great, dont know about AC just got the jeep a month ago. Has a 3" lift and a cat back Dynomax Exhaust system. Mitch Posted March 6, 2009 Report Share Posted March 6, 2009 (edited) Most likely the Command-trac NP231 on an 88-newer. That was the standard transfer case and is part time 4 wheel only. The NP242 with full or part time 4WD would have been offered on the next trim level above the sport. Look at the transfer case shifter. If it only has 2hi, 4hi, N 4lo its the NP231.
