Talked with a salesman at Millersburg, Ohio dealership yesterday. He says national Jeep Jamboree to happen here in Millersburg. Event to be held in conjunction with Stillwell Stompers (rock crawlers). No idea on date....look for it soon.

Jeeps are here this weekend. Trail ride and back roads. Stillwell. I saw a flock of Jeeps up town (Millersburg) and talked to them. They confirmed that Jeep Jamboree is scheduled for Sept. here.

prolee have campers at Hawkins farm (Stillwell) SR 62.

Ron505....$$$$ yeah, I understand that. Jeep Jamboree is like just under $500, they told me. Itz filled up. You can sign up and get put on a waiting list.

Just for grins...mama unit checked on a Rubicon....$77,000. The payments for her woulda been like a thousand per month. To keep up with the time wasting...curious about the 2024 with a Hemi. Base at $95,000. Yikes!!!

Yeah, believe it or not, they fill up quick.  My friends that go to Greenbriar let me know within a week of them getting notified, and most of the time it's full!  Crazy!

Talked with a half dozen that were here a couple of weeks ago. They were here for trail riding.

The conversation was - yeah, it fills up quickly. Sign up, if full, your name goes on a waiting list. If someone cancels then name from waiting list gets the slot.

Only, the waiting list is closed out.....filled and not taking names.

Inre: the gathering at dealership.....guy there said a parade of some sort will happen. Flyer shows date for show at dealership with time.

Smiling as years ago, late seventies, I set up a run - more smiling because one of the Jeep guys in his Wrangler complained, because he kept getting in and out of his Jeep to lock hubs......"could we stay off road so I don't need to mess with hubs?"

i replied........we haven't gone off road yet. Tomorrow we will go off road. 😱

Update with the latest: it is what it is....no parade. Village of Mllersburg traffic was over whelmed with the three hundred or so Jeeps. So no parade. There will be, instead, a cruise-in to the dealership, north of town square ( 1 mile to site).  Hotels in Millersburg and Berlin  are booked.

The actual event has been declared a private event. It will be held by Hawkins family on a thousand acre site. The event will be trail rides, hard driving on rocky terrain, mud, creeks and off camber trails.

This event sold out in minutes, according to Josh Cohen, local coordinator.

You will be able to view the Jeeps for an evening at the cruise-in to Village Motors, Thursday evening.

This one is by far the pick of the litter. 500 miles on it. Trailered to events. You take a New Rubicon, costing what? 70, 80,000? Then tear it apart and build yer version.....I was especially enamored at the inner fenders and the immaculate TIG welding.

"We had a private event this weekend too....lol. From Ron505"

Yay! Great fun. Coupla hunnert off roaders....it was grins watching Jeeps zipping around everywhere. The rock climbing and trail and mud runs to happen tomorrow.  At the farm were the rigs and special 'attack' Jeeps.

Years ago (1979 or so), I hosted a small group.....with a few vehicles.....a brand new Bronco...they were bigguns, back then....it was bear right in stream, said the instructions.......looking to stay on a rock shelf of a sorts. Bronco guy had his 3 day old rig, bearing a bit right, but not enough right, and he found the hole....dropped into water up to his seats....I saw him at the meet and greet and we remembered the good ole days. The CJ jeeper....complained about getting in and out to lock his hubs in and out....he asked if we could stay off road as he was getting tired of climbing out to lock hubs.....uhmmm, we ain't been off road as yet. We'll do that tomorrow....😈

Lotsa fun. Saw several folks at the gathering and got to visit. Met new peeps. Good times.

ill hafta figure a way to view the rock climbing, etc tomorrow.....😬
