smokin5s
anyone ever deal with this company? We are supposed to be meeting with the lady tonight at 7pm and sign a contract to have them list our house... no biggie, except they require a non-refundable 500 dollar deposit.... has anyone ever dealt with this company in the past? is it a good way to sell a house? Thanks!
Gergwheel1647545492
they don't work nearly as hard as a normal realtor. Then again they only cost half as much as a normal realtor. My buddy tried to sell his house with them and it never sold and he has since taken the house off the market
65belairpost
I haven't, but what do they do that a regular realtor doesn't do? Besides charge an upfront nonrefundable deposit? That sounds shady to me...Have sold 2 houses through a regular Realtor..nothing paid until sold...

Gergwheel1647545492
all they really do is the legal stuff and put a sign in your yard. they don't put it on the MLS and they only put it on their website. I don't think my buddy had to do anything with a deposit. that does seem strange
Sully
Also, sure wish I would have thought of this scam. That is a great way to make some quick cash.
Sully
Oh, and how much do you want for the car? You know that's next!
smokin5s
it is a 500 dollar non-refundable deposit, the lady said it was to cover the advertising charges and that you get it back at closing... but if they can't sell it, you are SOL with the
smokin5s
Oh, and how much do you want for the car? You know that's next! Wife said if you buy the house, you can have the car...
Sully
But is that what YOU want? I'll give you $130K for the house since that's what the comps in the area are going for.
smokin5s
146 and it's yours... (it's what I owe on it) but I keep the car... oh and hell no, I'm not giving you my car, we were just joking...
smokin5s
In the past 6 months, 6 houses in my neighborhood that have my identical floor plan have sold for 160+ so 130 is not a comp for my house....

smokin5s
no, we decided to try to post it ourselves and make the fliers that they would have made for ourselves and see how things go. with us going to Hawaii in 2 weeks, we didn't think it would be a good idea to be tied down to have to show the house and we wouldn't be there to show it.
