Scotty2Hotty
Because black rifles are too damn boring, I've been debating my color schemes. So far I am digging the Duracoat Afghan colors myself: http://www.unitedarmsonline.com/Photo_Gallery/Rifles/Tactical/Semi_Auto/AR/AR15_B/AR15B_1.JPG Here's a few ideas from M4carbine.net http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=5102

Guest Hal
I've thought about it but, I'll probably just keep mine black.

Guest Hal
Knowing my luck, I'd screw up the paint and end up with a rifle that looks like a toy.
Scotty2Hotty
Once I complete all the weapons that need some paint, I'm ordering the air brush kit. I krylon'd a few rifles already, and they didn't come out bad at all. You can clean off mistakes with paint thinner.
RedRocket1647545505
Funny you mention this. I was just looking into this the other day. I want a 'beater' bolt gun in .223 just to fuck around with. I'm thinking an R700 SPS-T, camo'd out.

Adam
i kinda dig the urban grey look I have seen on a few, but then I will need 4 different ars: spring/summer - green fall - browns/earths winter - white city - grey
andyjs3589
I just picked up my first ar, gonna keep it black. Next on the agenda: bolt action .308 camo'd out.

Drewhop
I dont mind the camo look but for me it comes down to texture. If it feels cheap I dont like it. If it is done really well I am all for it.
armin922
+1 on that...I dont mind camo at all. I think it looks cool....But it alldepends on if its done right

oh8sti
i love AR's but have recently sold 2. I made at least 300 on each one and i have found that alot of people dont want to buy a gun thats been painted (looks as if your trying to hide scuffs and scratches is what ive been told). If you plan on keeping the gun, by all means paint that mofo, but for resale, dont paint. I second the "if its done right" bit. I love when i pick up an AR or M4 thats been matte finished...ohh jesis i cream myself.

The simple solution to this is: don't ever sell your guns. :bangbang:
