Scotty2Hotty
Probably the nastiest, craziest round on the market at the moment. .17 Remington Fireball http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s272/lanceJOregon/hunting/machIV_online.jpg Muzzle 100 200 300 400 (In Yards) 4,000 3,380 2,840 2,360 1,930 Energy (ft-lbs) 710 507 358 247 165 http://www.gunsandhunting.com/Sweetheat/_MG_7520.jpg According to sources, it's basically impossible to trace this round (ballistics wise) due to the velocity and small nature of this round. Looking at what it can do to small critters and varmits, you can guage for yourself just how nasty this little bastard is. -Will be adding to the locker shortly
rch10007
I've always wanted to fire one of those. If you get one, I'll spot for ya!
Scotty2Hotty
Deal. I haven't dropped the coin on a good spotting scope until I build my long distance calling plan. I had a blast shooting a .17HMR savage the first time I shot one, so I'm assuming this fireball is even more fun.
RedRocket1647545505
I've been wanting a 700VSF chambered in .17RF since I first heard about them a couple years ago. Other guns have taken priority though, and it's been put on the back burner. Just an FYI though, factory loaded .22-250 and .220 Swift are obviously bigger, and are both over 4,000fps. They do work as well.
Drewhop
My 22 wmr feels like such a newb now at only 2k fps. How much more effective is a 17 fireball going to be then a 22wmr at 100 yards? I am guessing looking at everything beyond 100 yards the 17 fireball will start to dominate.

stangsn95gt
.204 is badass also
lowridns1020
204 has pretty good ballistics, and is cheaper to shoot then .17 rem, and 22-250. I am contiplating buying a rem 700 in .204 for bird shooting.
