Sully
I'm not sure what to think. Is this some sort of scam or is this person just an idiot? I listed my tv for $200 on CL. Person e-mails me asking if I still have it. I replied that I do. They respond asking how much the tv is and that they can pick it up on Friday if the price is right. Ummm, the price is in the subject line of the fucking e-mail!!! (I have x'd out all e-mail addresses) Re: 46" Pioneer Rear Projection TV - $200 (Canal Winchester) From: <img id="P___1955676487" webimdisplaystyle="inline" style="display: none;"> Robin Cardwell (xxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com) Sent: Wed 4/15/09 8:00 PM To: Michael Sullivan (xxxxxxxx@hotmail.com) I onl;y check this email like once a week . Sully
Wait, were both received emails from the same person? The first email really screams MORON more than scam. Yes they are. It's weird because the first one was sent from their RR e-mail and they asked me to reply to their yahoo e-mail. So I replied to both. Their second e-mail is from their yahoo e-mail. Not sure why they can't use the same freakin e-mail. Anyway, I replied back and told them that it's $200 and that I'm available friday evening and saturday during the day. I also stated that I will only accept cash (which is posted in the CL ad anyway). I then asked them to provide me their phone number and I would contact them to make arrangements. We'll see what happens. Due to the weirdness of this possible transaction, if this person actually does come to pick it up, I will be armed, just in case. Because when you click on a email link on Craigslist it brings up your default mail program, which is probably set to their RR email address that they never use. Browning
1. Never let weirdos from craigslist know where you live. 2. Always take some one or something with you.
TTQ B4U
Open carry in your own house when they come in and all will be fine. I had someone come over on a Friday night when I sold the dog cage, etc....and they brought a friend. I thought that was odd.....so when they came in I was openly carrying and made sure they stayed on my porch until I tt. them and surveyed the situation. They did comment on it and I just explained that the wife and I both shoot often and just returned from the range. Bullshit but it was my way of somewhat bluffing that she's inside with a gun too. True story that we both shoot. I simply left off the part about her being very, very good and me just average Needless to say, they stayed outside and didn't even want to come in the house :bangbang:

I almost suggested that in my reply actually. I wouldn't put it past people, especially these days, to try some weird shit via CL ads. Just yesterday at work during mid-day we had two cars broken into, in the parking lot, in plain view of the building.
Kevin R.
Jesus dude. Not everyone who buys stuff of Craigslist is a robber. What makes you think they can trust YOU when YOU'RE holding a gun. That would have scared the shit out of me. I understand being armed 100% but holding a gun but walking around with it in front of people buying shit off you is a little much. For the record, I would also have brought a friend. I always do when buying shit from strangers. I can't trust you as much as you can't trust me. Snowflake
I recently sold a trailer using Craigslist. I had 3 people come by to get it and after they get here they want to get it cheaper then we had already agreed on the phone. I told all of them nope and to roll out. I ended up waiting and sold it yesterday for the exact price I asked which was 50 more than I was going to give it to the other 3 for. I win... Main3s
Yeah, most people on CL are just fuckin tards. I'll never try and sell something on there again, it's just not worth it IMO. You list the price and pics then some tool emials you asking what the price is and if you have pics...
