nurkvinny
Google for something along the lines of "oil filter +ticking". It's an unlikely fix, but worth a try. Throw a Delco on with the next change for kicks.

nurkvinny
Rob (Gearhead) I'm sure does Oil Changes? Find a small, local, older guy that has been in business for years. Fuck giving money over to huge chains of shit-work faslubes. I can't count how many fuck-ups we fixed from the local Zanesville fast lubes. ... and people seemed surprised every time. GonneVille
For a GM? Take it to a Goodwrench if you're too lazy to do it yourself. At least you'll get an ACDelco filter and Mobil oil. Pennzoil is shit, and I don't even know what kind of filter Jiffy Lube uses, but I'd bet it's a Fram.

'But, they have a tv in their lounge" I dont offer a discount type oil change...now someone brings me filter and the oil, i'll do it for free with other services and so on.otherwise it $10. or just add those parts to the bill with other service work.now i have some people that request a certain type of oil and filter, and in some cases keep that stuff on hand , just so they dont have to call ahead. and stocking a quality filter and oil just raise's overhead. which in turn drives prices up.and most people dont under stand why every oil change is a different price. well some cars have a filter that cost more, some take more oil then others. labor price dont change. i have one guy that brings his oil(valvoline) and a k&n oil filter bye every 2000 mile or less. i dont believe people should bounce from shop to shop to get oil changes. and i hate the fast lube stuff. fuck the tv, the guy in the pit is to busy watching it with you and forgot your damn oil filter, or didnt even change it..he just shook the car around some to make it look like he did.
