I thought it was just an odd bug with some color on membrane-type wings (think fancy flying ant). I had no idea it was spiked with hairy wings until I saw the blown up picture. Apparently, the main way to distinguish between species is by microscopic investigation of their genitals, something I'm going to skip doing here. On a sidenote, I was attacked by a silverfish awhile back and those aren't supposed to bite or even have the urge to bite humans and, as far as I know, is completely unheard of. Yay, me.
