Do I really need four o2 sensors on my Taurus?

do I really need four o2 sensors on my Taurus? I was wondering if the car will still run if i removed one of the o2 sensors? I'm putting on a custom ex. I know the check engine light will be on, has been forever so that's not an issue. But will it mess up me being able to drive it. Thanks.

you need both upstreams unless you get a custom tune the downstreams can be fooled to keep the light off with a sim

custom tune an delete the rears as well...if you can find someone to tune it.

 

 

but you dont need the downstream ones..and i suggest not getting ride of the upstreams. and most upstream codes, are cause of a vacuum leak in these. most downstream codes are to to the vacuum leak, making them run bad and eating the converters out.
