Guest Removed
that would be the one. guys on svt are saying its a very good possiblity that it damaged the head or piston? Brian, do think a leak down or comp test is nesc at this point? it very well could have. a buddie of mine was telling me he seen this at the track breaking up rather bad after the 1/8. it would be a good idea to do a compression and a leak down on it. just to make sure. but even if it pass's that. it hard to say what the top of that piston really looks like. i have some here from a cobra motor that have the crowns melted. edit: 5 or 6 crowns melted. and one piston is completely melted down. schmuckingham
From first hand experience the motor is likely fine. The NGK plugs are meant to melt the ground strap before things go majorly wrong. My lightning would do it if I tried to hot lap it on a hot day. Like me Cory is running too much boost but were we differ is he is unported and has no other aftercooler mods which is just INSANE
