The industrial ahelving is usually made to have supports(2x4) staggered under the wood, the rails are tall enough for this to happen. I wouldnt trust say an engine on just osb board. How much do you think you need?

im not putting a engine on this stuff...i only need 6 to 8 peice's 8' x 22"..

 

 

and these had 3/8 wood on them at one time...trust me it will be fine for what im doing.
