SpaceGhost
A lot of people get shops to build them, and incorporate that in the price. I would like: http://www.cobracountry.com/cobra4salefolder/cobra-farrow-pa.jpg + http://www.moddedmustangs.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/10/mustang-cobra-supercharged-engine.jpg + http://image.chevyhiperformance.com/f/8946938/0610ch_09_z+superchargers+kenne_bell_supercharger.jpg = Fun (if it would be possible, I am researching this.) I think it would sound amazing with a Kenne Bell, with no top be a ton of fun, and should be pretty quick.

lawnman
all are nice, but when it comes to a mkIII, there are tons of other kits out there, and lots of different ways to build one. the 5.0 based kits are nice, but if you really want a cobra replica, that performs...the a factory 5 isnt going to due it I have built 4 and owned 3 . My last one ran a 11.86 and got 23mpg's . What kind of performance are you talking about ? The Cobras do lack top end speed . My last one weighed 2200 lbs so they can be made to perform just like anyother car. Now if you want a 9 second street car , then this would not be the car for you. lawnman
Financing on these cars is done thru a bank and is a line of credit . Atleast that is the way it was 2 years ago. My first one I built for $17,500. second one built for $25,000. Third one with everything new cost $30,000. If you are serious about buying one let me know and I can save you $2,

lawnman
well, they give every one buyying one, that 2500 discount now..look on there main page..its right there in bold print That is with their options. I can tell you how to get $2500 off the price , then you can pick your own options. Not the ones they are giving the discounts on. ERA made very nice ones , and they did go out of business. RangerTurbo
I'm going to say up front, I'm no expert in this area, this is just my general understanding. From what I understand about financing anything (be it a car or hookers & blow), if you could get financing for something like this, you probably don't need it (you have enough money to just buy it). Getting financing for something that's probably worth or will sell for less than what you have into is hard to impossible. Getting financing for luxury items is harder (i.e. getting financing for an ATV versus a car). That being said, my understanding is that you can buy whole kits, or you can by these things somewhat piece-meal as you build it. So you can buy this part or bunch of parts, build that portion of the car, buy another set of parts and build that part. Kind of like financing it. If you have the ability to finance something like this, you may be able to get a built one. But you still run into it being an expensive luxury item. To get financing on the kit I think would be nearly impossible. I figured as much. I agree, stupid idea to finance a kit car. I didn't realize these could be bought part by part though. The site makes it seem like you need to buy one of the two kits as a whole. Financing on these cars is done thru a bank and is a line of credit . Atleast that is the way it was 2 years ago. Yah, I figured anyone could do that if they desperately needed to finance one. Hell you can get a line of credit for just about anything if you're willing to pay the typically higher interest rate. Maybe they've changed it.
Doug1647545489
I really really want to build a FF Daytona Coupe. The hard part is saving the 30 grand needed to do a nice one. I've got 10k saved so far. Another 10k and I can order the kit. The last 10k will be for drivetrain and paint.
Trouble Maker
The last 10k will be for drivetrain and paint. Just put the Supra engine in it. To the original topic, if I were going to do one I'd do the GTM or the Coupe. The MKIII or 33 just don't do it for me.
