Smokey
Her name is Sadie. My wife and I are fostering her for stop the suffering. Unfortunately we're realizing that we don't have the time to dedicate to her like we wish we did. She is having some potty issues - can't always hold it in the crate while we're at work, and likes to mark in the house. We've been able to curb the marking by making sure that our dog is seen as the dominant one in the house (feeding him first, taking him out first, while she waits etc) as well as always keeping her in sight. With our schedules though we can't do much about her going in her crate while we're gone and don't see much of a way around it. She's about 60lbs, and has obvious rot coloring. She's a very mild and calm dog. She does love to play with our dog, but doesn't really get agressive ever, and she's very loving. She will literally follow me into any room I go to and lay down and wait for me to pet her. The agency has told us that she has very strong "prey" instincts with small animals, and that interaction with cats should be avoided at all costs. I've had her around my brother's yorkie for a week straight though and they loved each other, so small dogs are fine. Sadie needs someone who is looking for an older, calm dog that needs plenty of love. She would be perfect for an older person that doesn't necessarily work a full time schedule. Here is her page from Stop the Suffering. Anyone who adopts her would need to pay the associated fees thru them, but I can talk to them to see if there is any leeway on that. http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14497457 Please let me know if you can think of someone who would give her a good home. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/068.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/069.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/070.jpg
