i have been doing some research for a IWB holster for when i get my conceal carry permit.

i have looked at a ton of holsters and watched a ton of you tube reviews.

my first choice i was gonna go with was a Galco summer comfort. looked to be a very nice holster, but after some more searching and reviews i found exactly what i want.

Kholster

you can check it out at kholster.com

benefits for me are..

its slimmer than the full leather galco

i dont usually wear a belt and this holster you dont have to wear a belt, you can clip it on a pair of jeans if you want

you can position it anyway you like, you can adjust depth and cant on it.

also its got a full 90 day no questions asked return policy

and its got a lifetime warranty EVEN IF YOU MODIFY THE HOLSTER

plus the price is pretty good at only $45 shipped to your door on any holster

here is a good youtube review on it

Holy fuckme thats a huge holster.

You're going to want to wear a belt either way. That extra pound or two is really going to pull on your pants.

I have a Galco Summer Comfort and recommend it. It takes a while for it to form fit to your gun, but once its broken in, its like its not there.

I doubt you'll find the right holster immediately. A lot of has have a ton of holsters laying around that we decided weren't quite right. You'll want to try some out and get a feel for the draw, fit, comfort level, etc...

I also agree you will want to wear a belt. The only gun I don't wear a belt with is my Ruger 380 LCP because it barely weighs more than my cell phone.

I also carry in a Galco summer comfort. One of the best IWB holster out there short of custom leather made.

There's no way you'll be able to carry without a good gun belt.

Winter time I carry in a Galco COP OWB with thumb break.

it does look big, but you can trim it down which i would do.

just from the reviews ive read though, it is supposedly the most comfortable thing to wear.

ill go check the galco out at vance's and see if i like it. but i think ill probably order one of the kholster's

i guess ill be wearing a belt then to.

thanks for the info guys

I have a "tuck this II" from

http://www.desantisholster.com/

http://www.desantisholster.com/storefrontB2CWEB/itemdetail.do?action=prepare_detail&itm_id=10957&itm_index=0

Me too, although mine is the original model.

It's cheap and basic but fits me well in a variety of carry modes and is well made. I often carry with only a t shirt on in the summer and you wouldn't know it. Granted the fact that I am carrying a small gun is part of concealment, but the holster is the next most important thing (as you already know).

Well, I highly suggest you re-consider the not wearing the belt idea. You better think that over long and hard. What gun will you be carrying? I don't know a lot, but I can probably help you out a bit.

This is true, you won't find the right holster immediate--especially right away. I rarely don't wear a belt, unless I've got a pocket gun or three on me.

I can't tell you how many Fobus holsters I have personally broken, or seen broken over the years. I am not overly hard on any of my equipment, either.

Unless you research really well and take a chance :) I did with my Summer Comfort after it was recommended to me and I researched it. I don't think I'll use a different IWB, atleast not for the XD.

Yah, I'm not a fan of them either. To me they are like an Uncle Mikes... they just seem cheap. Now, my Serpa Blackhawk Lvl II is awesome. I've got it hung up on more things than I care to admit and its taking the beatings quite well.

I did buy a Serpa for my 1911 too, but find I don't like the slide wear it creates on the Spartan. SO, chock that one into the pile of "holsters never to be used again."

I don't do IWB for many reasons--or at least on very rare occassion, I will normally over dress if the occasion calls for it.. Holsters are like shoes and good jeans, you have to find the right fit or you will never be happy. Some people just aren't too picky, either.

The Sepra is a great holster and I am not a fan of plastic for the most part. Yeah, I must have about two toy boxes full of holsters from guns I own or have owned and never really liked. The good news is I never paid for 80% of them. ;) All the "in-use" holsters are valuable enough to stay in the safes.

Probably what I'll end up getting for the FiveSeven:

I've heard nothing but rave reviews about comfort.

the Kholster is the same thing but half the price. .. you just have to cut the leather to your liking. so you could make that same pattern as the crossbreed on the kholster.

i looked up alot on the crossbreed and then found the kholster while doing so.

with the kydex all the reviews i read is that retention is just about perfect, especially after the gun has been in the holster for a little bit, the gun will fit itself into the leather backing a bit.

thats for the crossbreed supertuck as shown up there and the kholster i posted
