SRTurbo04
:jerkit: all i see is a boat load of fail. not sure were looking at the same "truck" thing thing is about as gay as those subaru baja or brat things
3.1cutlass
Looks more like competition for the Colorado/Canyon. I actually really like it and agree TDI+ Manual=winnar
zeitgeist57
TDi+manual is the only winnar in this news bit. Amorak may be good, but I will probably never drive one, much less own it.
Skinner
I like it, wonder who they are borrowing the truck platform from?
RyM3rC
Huh, interesting. Seems like with that payload (over a ton?) it should have more power. Kinda like a better ridgeline, that doesn't get 15 mpg and rev to 4k all the time. Good work VW. Best of all, no coil packs to fail
SPL_Josh
That thing is gay. Why have a truck that the bed is too small to haul anything. If its gonna be diesel it needs to be 3/4 ton+ toyotas prototype of their 1ton with the 8L hino is win
Scotty2Hotty
Minus the hillbilly roll-bar fad that died decades ago, I don't mind it. Still reminds me of a Honda Ridgeline (which is far from a Truck IMO), but TDi + Manual is quite bad ass. I see a few pitfalls in it, but overall not too bad for VW. IMO, the whole retail sales fad of owning these types of trucks in masses is about a decade too late too though.
Scotty2Hotty
IMO, the whole retail sales fad of owning these types of trucks in masses is about a decade too late too though. Agreed. The bed is just a large glove box, but for a semi-SUV/Mini-Truck, I like the concept, especially with a Turbo Diesel to back it up. If it's over 30MPG and availible in 4WD/AWD, they may have a small winner to beat up on that abortion known as the Honda Ridgeline.
