Nope, that's the RACE....pre-direct drive and slipper-clutches, with 2-speed Powerglides, and the tire technology wasn't even close to what it is now, so the top classes would spin the tires off the line simply because the tires COULDN'T hook up until they shifted into High. They did have boxes, but that was merely to get the stuck-on debris off the tire surface, the rubber at the time didn't get much stickier when heated like today. Awesome film.
