Its a 50/50 betwwn the two personally I've got an xbox. Honestly pick a system that has a game you want exclusivly to that system ie forza motorsports is xbox while gran turismo is ps3.

well live on xbox costs $.. and its free on PS3. and the blue ray on ps3 not on xbox. xbox has better games. ps3 has a bigger memory (80gb) compaired to the normal (20gb) of the basic xbox.

PS3. IMO the game advantage the Xbox 360 had is pretty much gone now.

PS3 = Blu-ray. Xbox 360 = dead HD DVD format.

PS3 now does Netflix streaming, so the other Xbox 360 advantage is gone.

I despise the 360 controller...it is aweful, and I have big hands...I can't imagine how bad it is with little hands.

360 = red ring of death. PS3 isn't perfectly reliable by any means, but better than the Xbox.

PS3 has an EXCELLENT upconvert DVD ability as well. On-board processing of TrueHD, DTS-HD, DTS-MA. Many excellent video streaming applications for it as well. The PS3 is much more than a video game system; it is a media center.

I have Netflix on my 360.....and it works like a charm.

Works great on the PS3 too.

PS3 also has FREE ONLINE GAMING vs. paying Microsoft more money to game with them. I don't really give a crap about online gaming, so that's not really a selling point for me. Actually, the Blu-ray player and media streaming is the main selling point (and 99% of what I do with mine); playing video games is just an added bonus.

he was saying that the advantage that the 360 had originally is gone cause PS3 has netflix now.

Oh boy, here we go. You are not likely going to get any constructive help anywhere on the internet. Its mostly fanboy faggotry, I'm afraid. If you have the scratch, do what I did, and buy both. Problem solved...

BTW PSN is turning into a pay service soon, so that argument cant be used anymore.

Really? I like the 360 controllers. I HATE Playstation controllers, always have. I honestly think GameCube had the best controllers of any system though

porn is backing the HD dvd's so im afraid blu-ray will be fazed out over the next few years. Its no better than an HD dvd in any way.

360 has the best/most reliable online gaming network in the world for gaming consoles.

Chew on that fanboys

The psn you use now will still be free. PSN is just adding a pay for service with alot more things on it. PSN You use now will not change it will still be free sony said.

Step one: http://www.google.com

Step two: type in desired search

Step three: get results

Step four: use results to make decision

BONUS ROUND: Use search function on Colubmusracing.com

Yes it is that easy and will keep you looking like short bus mike.

Now for a serious answer.

PS3 better graphics and less issues

Xbox 360 better online play and more robust with net flix and stuff like that.

I have both only because I got a PS3 used. I like the PS3 because it can play blue ray.

If you have a htpc running Media Center you will love the extender capability of the 360. With tversity or transcode360 there isnt much the 360 wont be able to play. We DVR tons of shows on my pc and stream them through the 360 and it really is nice. That's one big advantage of the 360 if your machines are networked.

Bluray on the ps3 is great but there is a hundred dollar difference between the systems so if it means that much to you then you could buy a standalone. The HD Dvd vs Bluray arguement is hard to make imo for the fact that hd dvd is an additional piece of hardware and doesn't come with the system.

The uPnP support of the ps3 is great b/c you dont need to run a media server or transcoding application. Natively it supports more formats but with a pretty easy addon application this issue becomes almost moot. Where it will really shine is by plugging in a usb harddrive or flashdrive and being able to watch it w/o the pc re-encoding the file.

Gaming is pretty subjective. Ive seen the graphics on both and the same game looks slightly better on the ps3. Its a slight edge in my not-so-expert opinion. The gameplay itself feels no different. The controller feel is pretty subjective. I like them both.
