do you know what the block number is?

also might try posting this on thedieselgarage.com

Block number doesnt mean shit. If it has 160k on a #53 block than there are great chances that it will never have an issue. So many people blow the 53 block out of proportion because some had issues. Compared to the amount of them made, very little percentage of motors had an issue in the first place. I have one with 207k on it and would buy another one without even looking at what block it was. The vp-44 should be number one concern.

Nice truck. Has the trans ever been rebuilt? Original injection pump or replacement?

Not all 53 blocks were bad, you're right in that aspect. I will still concern me though.

x2 on tranny rebuild and vp44

Not 100% sure on the tranny or the vp-44. I would say the tranny has been gone through, fluid is red and like i said shifts amazing. If the truck dosent sell i will be installing a fass system as the injection pump is a very weak link on these trucks. Ive only owned the truck for roughly 5 months, have had no issues at all.
